Introducing Melbourne Running Man
The brainchild of Shirley Huang and Sonny Li, Running Man Melbourne is an upcoming online web-series created to unite young people through a series of multiple activities all throughout Melbourne on the 30th of June.
Founder and creator of this idea Shirley Huang said, “Korean culture is growing within Melbourne and we thought it’d be a great way to make new friends and meet new people. So far we have thirty plus volunteers for our first official event, we can only hope from there the number of participants grows.” The event is planned to be filmed and uploaded onto the popular video sharing site YouTube within a week of the recording, in an effort to spread awareness and gain more support for future events. Currently there are five administrators for the event, each in charge of their own department whether it be directing, editing, or promotion. Challenges include a scavenger hunt throughout the city as well as elaborate hide and seek missions. A completely non-for-profit event, volunteers are however encouraged to donate some money in order to help with the cost of equipment hire. Further informatino can be found on their facebook page. |
